Healthy fats and Omega-3
Fats are an essential part of nutrition not only in gaining muscle mass, but also in the diet. They are a source of the necessary energy and, in addition, they allow the absorption of vitamins soluble in them (A, D, E, K). Therefore, it is important to focus on the intake of healthy fats (unsaturated) and reduce harmful - bad fats (saturated, trans fats).
Fatty acids are natural components of fats and oils. Based on their chemical structure, we divide them into: "saturated" and "unsaturated", which are further classified as "mono-unsaturated" and "polyunsaturated" fatty acids.
Of the polyunsaturated fatty acids, the most important are "omega-3 fatty acids", which we consider essential because our body cannot synthesize them. Omega-3 is one of the most versatile nutritional supplements because it is involved in various metabolic processes!
