Vegetable proteins
The source of protein in our diet does not have to be just animal sources. Increasingly popular are proteins of plant origin (such as hemp, soybeans, peas, rice), which are an excellent protein supplement, particularly for vegetarians, vegans and people who cannot consume milk.
Compared to animal proteins, plants contain a different ratio of amino acids, fewer calories and fat. On the other hand, they are a valuable source of fibre, many vitamins, minerals and some of them include chlorophyll.
In terms of efficiency, they can boldly compete with whey protein without lactose - milk sugar.
The most sought-after plant proteins are those derived from NON-GMO soy. Soy is the only plant source of protein that contains all the essential amino acids.
