Coconut oils

Coconut oils are among the healthiest vegetable fats with universal use. They are suitable for cooking, baking, frying but also for cosmetic purposes. They are characterized by higher amounts of unsaturated fatty acids and antioxidants.

What is the difference between refined and unrefined coconut oil? Which one to choose? 

  • Organic unrefined (cold pressed, virgin) coconut oil has a pleasant coconut aroma and taste, which it retains thanks to the method of processing at low temperatures. At the same time, it retains all the nutritional values, and is therefore only suitable for cold kitchens and for cosmetic purposes.

  • Refined (odourless) coconut oil is formed at higher temperatures, which loses its nutritional value, but prolongs its life and increases resistance to high temperatures. Therefore, it is suitable for frying, baking and cooking. Its taste and aroma are neutral and therefore do not affect the final taste of the prepared food
