Nutritional supplements containing fish oil, which is a source of valuable, essential omega-3 fatty acids for our body (EPA, DHA, ALA), or fish oil in combination with vegetable oils (omega 3-6-9).
You can get omega-3 fatty acids from an animal or plant source. The plant type is ALA (alpha-linolenic acid), the highest amount of which is in soybean or sunflower oil. The animal types include EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), which are found in fatty fish and crustaceans.
